How it works

Design tips

  • Keep the contrast ratio at 3:1 or higher — higher is better. Light codes on dark backgrounds often fail on some scanners.
  • Always leave a quiet zone (empty margin) around the code. Use the margin slider rather than cropping the code tightly.
  • Keep the logo at roughly 30% of the code size or smaller so scanners can still read the pattern around it.
  • Place styled codes on plain backgrounds. Busy photos or patterns behind a QR code hurt scanning reliability.

No. Styling never guarantees scannability on every device — some scanners struggle with low contrast, unusual colors, or logos. Always test with a real scanner on more than one phone before printing.

Which format should I download, PNG or SVG?
